Aubrey N. (Arb) Stanfield passed from this life on Sunday June 5, 2011 in Caddo, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years 8 months 11 days. He was born on Saturday September 20, 1924 in Sawyer, Oklahoma to Jim and Emma (Maddox) Stanfield. Aubrey married Beatrice Menchaca on November 13, 1942 in Hugo, Oklahoma.
“Bea” preceded him in death on October 8, 2010 Aubrey was a faithful member of the Caddo Church of Christ for over 51 years. Aubrey enjoyed the outdoors. He would fish, hunt and go camping whenever he could. He also enjoyed fish frys, gardening and singing while playing the guitar.
He is survived by his children Martha Watkins of Durant, Oklahoma, Carolyn Gordon and husband Don of Caddo, Oklahoma, Opal Payne and husband Bill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, June Whitmire and husband Steve of Coleman, Oklahoma and Dale Stanfield of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandchildren,Stacey Watkins, Chad Watkins, Jackie Gordon, Carissa Andis, April Shrum, Alan Watkins, Danny Watkins, Amanda Brister, Stephanie Hall, Aubrey Stanfield, James Stanfield,Demetra Stanfield and Trevor Scheff; 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.
Aubrey is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Emma Stanfield; wife, Bea Stanfield; brothers, Leonard, Dan and Glen Stanfield; sisters, Jimmie Henderson, Jessie Black, Amy King and Ethel Stanfield.
Family Hour will be 6-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at the Caddo Church of Christ, with Josh Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery Caddo, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Watkins, Aubrey Stanfield, James Stanfield, Chad Watkins, Stacey Watkins, Jessie Watkins, Cole Andis and Danny Watkins.
