Rita Kathleen Holm Roland

Rita Kathleen Roland, age 83, a Mobile, AL resident. She was born on Sunday, December 28, 1941, to Everett Freeborn and Margaret (Lucke) Holm, in Conrad, MT. Rita passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 in Mobile, AL. She graduated from Valier High School with the class of 1959 and then went on to attend Western MT College. Rita was a volunteer at Catholic Churches. She was a secretary at St. Marys' Catholic Church in Marfa, TX and St. Patricks' in Atoka, OK and everywhere they lived. She volunteered in every town they lived. She married Clovis Elton Roland on Saturday, September 26th, 1964 at St. Anne's Catholic Cathedral in Great Falls, MT. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before his passing on January 14, 2024. Rita attended St. Patricks' Catholic Church in Atoka, OK. She enjoyed painting, making macrame, gardening, cooking, loved animals and spending time with her family.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kay Roland of Kapaa, HI; son, Daniel Wayne Roland and wife Amy Hester of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Sydney Grace Roland and fiance' Dalton Lehman, Morgan Danielle Roland, Seth Issac Roland, Caleb Daniel Roland; sisters, Judy Holm Hazen of Helena, MT, Sandy Holm Hayes of Cut Bank, MT; sister in law, Sandra Roland of Atoka, OK; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives that she loved and all that knew her as friend, which was everyone she met.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Margaret (Lucke) Holm; husband, Clovis E. Roland; brother, Terry Holm; brothers' and sisters' in law, Billie and Arto Crow, Fern & Johnny Snider, Harold and Carolyn Roland; brother in law, Wayne Roland; parents in law, Eugene Buddy and Eula Mary Roland.
