Wynona Ray Renfro was born Saturday, May 2nd, 1931 in Caddo, Oklahoma to Dewey and Ezzie (Lassiter) Arp and went into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 24th, 2022, from the King’s Daughters and Sons Nursing Home in Durant, at the age of 90.
Wynona grew up in the Rock Springs community, northeast of Caddo. She was employed with Texas Instruments for many years until her retirement. Wynona was an excellent cook, an avid gardener, and she always had an immaculate lawn. She was a member of the Caddo Church of Christ and former member of the Durant Church of Christ.
Wynona was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, LeRoy Renfro.
She is survived by her son, James Renfro, of North Carolina; daughter, Janet Gunsolus; and brother, Jimmy Arp of Oklahoma City, OK.
A special thank you to the staff of King’s Daughters and Sons Nursing Home for the special care and attention Wynona received during her time there.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, Jan. 29th, at the Caddo Church of Christ with Bro. Jimmy Stegall officiating. Mrs. Renfro will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Cemetery with Seth Karn, Randall Purcell, Benny Green, Gary Keitz, J.P. Wesley and Ronnie Hodge, serving as pallbearers.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, Jan. 28th, at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant.
