Sherry “Sissy” Denise Ratcliff of Durant, OK passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 in Calera at the age of 67. She was born on December 2, 1952 in Wichita, KS to Johnny Arthur Ratcliff and Abilene (Harjo) Ratcliff.
A longtime resident of Bryan County, Sherry graduated from Caddo High School. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed watching television, playing cards, board games, reading the bible, listening to music, doing puzzles, wordsearches, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Abilene Ratcliff and her grandparents Nora and John McGowen and WT and Lydia Ratcliff.
Survivors include her sisters Terri Murray of Durant, OK and Brenda Stallion and husband Gary of McKinney, TX; brothers Phillip Ratcliff and wife Suzanne of Davidson, OK, Allen Ratcliff and wife Kim of Denison, TX, Morris Ratcliff and wife Laura of Denison, TX, Curtis Ratcliff and wife Julie of Durant, OK; children she helped raise and thought of them as her own Krissy Turner of Durant, OK, Matthew Tucker and wife Sarah of Haltom City, TX, Tiffany Roper of Durant, OK, and Jake, Jenna, and Joni Stallion all of McKinney, TX along with numerous nieces, nephews, plus great nieces and nephews and extended family members and dear friends.
Services for Sherry will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 23, 2019 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant, OK with Pastor Darel Bunch officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, OK with Chad Ratcliff, Chris Ratcliff, Evan Ratcliff, Tyler Ratcliff, Matthew Tucker, and Curtis Ratcliff serving as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearer will be Buster Ratcliff. Family night will be Sunday afternoon from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
