AJ Parker passed from this life on Thursday, February 15th, 2018 in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 91. He was born in Caddo, Oklahoma to Eber and Jennie (Simpson) Parker. A J married Dorothy Lee Ammons in Caddo, Oklahoma in 1955.
AJ was the owner of Parker Refrigeration in the 1940's, in the 50's the name was changed to Parker & Mitchell Heating and Air, and they are still in business to this day. He was a school board member at the Mead Public School. A.J. enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing dominoes, and watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and the OU Sooners. He always looked forward to spending time with his family.
Mr. Parker is survived by his children, Ricky Parker and wife Marilla of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Sharon Green and husband Randy of Durant, Oklahoma, and Kim Parker and wife Beth of Mead, Oklahoma; six beloved grandchildren, Landon and Stephanie Baskin of Mead, Oklahoma, Justin and Melissa Parker of Mead, Oklahoma, Stuart Parker of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Stephanie and Audie Ingram of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Lauren Scott and husband David of Durant, Oklahoma, and Lacey Hart and husband Nathan of Durant, Oklahoma; and nine beloved great-grandchildren.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Eber and Jennie Parker; wife, Dorothy Lee Parker; step-father, Dee Rippy; and sisters, Ruth Mitchell and Ramona Goan.
A chapel service will be at 10:00 AM Monday February 19th at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Alvin Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma. The pallbearers will be Wayne Mitchell, Tony Mitchell, Ron Parks, Jason Ammons, Brant Ammons, Cary Ammons, and Mike Baskin.
