Lillian Grace Murphree, 89 of Durant, OK passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 in Calera, OK. She was born on January 11, 1930 in Coalgate, OK to Max Monroe and Millie (Tanner) Cleburn.

Lillian graduated from Coalgate High School. She married Lee Walton Murphree in Durant in September of 1951. They were married for 22 years before his passing on January of 1974. Lillian went on to have a career as a Communication Officer for the law enforcement. She worked for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for 23 years. Lillian was a member of the First Baptist Church in Durant, and she loved spending time with her grandkids.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Max Cleburn and Wayne Cleburn.

Lillian is survived by her daughters; Shirley Slade of Durant, OK and Carolyn Johnson and husband Roy of Durant, OK, grandson Russell Scott and wife Gina of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughters; Leea Scott of Oklahoma City, OK, Amanda Gallagher and husband Brad of Edmond, OK, and Sara Bliss of Durant, OK, great granddaughters; Ansley Scott of Oklahoma City, OK, Jessica Grove of Edmond, OK and Sheay Gallagher of Edmond, OK, great grandsons; Zane Scott of Oklahoma City, OK and Case Gallagher of Edmond, OK, sisters Mary Lindquist of Norman, OK and Sylvia Lightner of Albany, GA, brother Bob Cleburn and wife Sharia of Oklahoma City, OK, nephew Larry McGraw of Rio Rancho, NM, close family friend Randy Franklin of Pauls Valley, OK, and son in law Robert Carr of Lakeland, FL and children Austin Carr and wife Alexis and Cody Carr all of Lakeland, FL.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Calera Manor and Guardian Hospice.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Gethsemane Cemetery at 2:00PM in Caddo, OK. Phillip Stephens and Todd Hughes will be conducting the service.
