Lora Louise (Watkins) McGrew of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on July 29, 2022. Lora was born on September 23, 1940, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Vance Calvin Watkins and Inez Pearl (Daniel) Watkins. She married the love of her life Joe Charles McGrew on June 12, 1958, in Caddo, Oklahoma.
Lora worked for 27 years as a clerk for the Employers Casualty Insurance Company before retiring. She was involved in her community serving in civic and cemetery clubs. Lora enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, knitting, sewing, cross stitch, and baking. She was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Caddo, Oklahoma, and taught Sunday School in the Children's Department.
She is survived by her brothers Richard Watkins of Caddo, Oklahoma, Jimmy Watkins and his wife Mona of Pottsboro, Texas, David Watkins and his wife Linda of Carrolton, Texas, and Billy Watkins and his wife Faye of Caddo, Oklahoma, sisters Betty Whiting of Burleson, Texas and Judy Ellis and her husband Daniel of Caddo, Oklahoma.
Lora is preceded in death by her parents Vance Calvin and Inez Pearl Watkins, husband Joe McGrew, and brothers, Andy, Harold, and Donald Watkins.
Family hour for Lora will be held Monday, August 1, 2022, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Caddo, Oklahoma with Reverend John Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma.
