Genevieve "Bee" Delores Jaafari and Mohammed "David" Jaafari were together for 54 years. Genevieve and Mohammed first met while attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University and immediately developed a lifelong friendship and love story. The couple married on October 2, 1972.
Genevieve Delores Drennan, age 74, of Caddo, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026. Born in Caddo, Oklahoma on May 14, 1952, she spent a life defined by her commitment to a passionate pursuit of knowledge and learning.
She attended Caddo Public High and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation Genevieve pursued a brief career working at the Durant Daily Democrat. Ultimately, she chose to dedicate her life to becoming a homemaker, wife, and mother. Nevertheless, she still loved to indulge her passion for lively political debates and discussions about global and domestic affairs.
Genevieve is survived by her husband Mohammed Jaafari, and their two sons Mohammed Antonio Jaafari and Davey Jaafari. Additionally, Genevieve is survived by her two brothers Jackie Drennan and Monte Drennan. She is also survived by her niece Demetra Paige McBrayer. She was preceded in death by her father Welton Eugene Drennan, mother Wanda Jean Drennan, and sister Mary Regina Wilkerson.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, June 24, 2026.
Genevieve will be laid to rest at a graveside funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, in Caddo, Oklahoma at Gethsemane Cemetery, officiated by Jesse West.
