Harold R. "Bob" Huebner, of Bennington, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 74. He was born on January 12, 1950, in Vancouver, Washington, to Wilhelm Robert and Wanda Omegene (Acers) Huebner. Bob lived a life marked by courage, dedication, and a deep love for his family and country.
Bob proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army, after which he retired. Following his military service, he continued to showcase his strong work ethic as a truck driver for JB Hunt and Joe Brown Construction. Bob was also a member of the Blue River Baptist Church, where he found a community of faith and fellowship. He was known for his love of animals, finding joy tending to his chickens and cattle, a pastime that brought him peace and contentment.
Bob's legacy is carried on by his loving wife of 16 years, Martha (Baker) Huebner of Bennington, Oklahoma; his father Wilhelm Huebner of Oregon, his son, Jason Huebner and wife Tara of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Bellinda Huebner and Eugene Henderson of Bennington, Oklahoma; and his adored grandchildren, Krystal Cordiviola, Amanda Curry, Josh Huebner, Kyle Owens, Thomas Owens, Samantha Owens, Rylee Huebner Liggett, Mason Huebner, and Jewel Huebner. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Huebner of Washington, and sister, Deanna Rodrick of Texas.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Huebner; his mother, Wanda Acers Cushman; his daughter, Angela Harris; and his son, John Huebner.
Family Hour will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel. Full military honors will be presented at his graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Gethsemane Cemetery with Reverend Jim Baker officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Harris, Adrian Baker, Geoff Wingfield, Jason Huebner, Josh Huebner, Mason Huebner, and Jake Dingler. Honorary pallbearers are Kyle Owens, Thomas Owens, and Samantha Owens.
