Carl Ray Hokett

Carl Ray Hokett, age 87, a longtime Caney, OK resident, was born on Thursday, December 14, 1933, to Rubin and Inez (Williford) Hokett, at Coleman Area. Carl passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at home. He graduated from Kenefic High School. Carl was a carpenter and cattle rancher. He married Margaret Darlene McMichael on Monday, August 24th, 1953 at Durant, Oklahoma. They spent 67 wonderful years together. Carl was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Carl also liked to play the guitar, domino's and cards. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Carl is survived by his wife, Margaret Darlene Hokett of the home in Caney, OK; son, Keith Ray Hokett and wife Anita Marie of Caney, OK; daughters, Alecia Gail Cook of Edmond, OK, Rhonda Elizabeth Richardson of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Angela Paris and husband Marion of Fulsom, OK, Kalem Hokett and wife Candy of Sherman, TX, Danny Hokett and wife Maribel of Colbert, OK, Barry Cook and wife Jennifer of Durant, OK, Tisa Parson and husband Chris of Edmond, OK, Cody Cook and wife Mary of Wapanucka, OK, Jason Springer and wife Jessica of Caney, OK, Brian Springer of Caney, OK; great grandchildren, Bethany Mcann and husband Tanner of Caddo, OK; McKayla Williams; Shane, Zach, Felicity, Lorena, Eric Hokett; K.C., Lexi Cook; Jackie, Cody, Dempsey Cook; Tyler Haddock, Lydia, Abby, Sydney Parson; Auston, Haydon, Landis, McKayla, Kennon, Kaleb Springer; great great grandchildren, Gabriel Mosley; Scarlett, Thorin, Lainey Barngrover; Ramsey Jae Mcann; Robyn Womack; siblings, Betty and husband James of Moore, OK, Leo and wife Ermalinda of Fremont, CA, Jim and wife Betty Ann of Lexington, OK, Glenda and husband Tom of Wellston, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Rubin and Inez (Williford) Hokett; brothers, Sam Hokett, Doyle Hokett, Ron Hokett; sisters, Avys Fairchild, Linda Ward; sons-in-law, Clay Cook, Kenneth Richardson
