Melba Leflora (Moran) Hill of Caddo, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord on September 19, 2018. She was surrounded by her dear family and friends. Melba was born in Caddo on January 25, 1932 to Quantrel and Ethel (Wood) Moran.
She was a great great granddaughter of the Chief of the Choctaws Sam Smallwood. She graduated from Caddo High School and married her sweetheart on March 18, 1950 in Durant, Oklahoma. She enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was very talented in sewing, baking (for example brownies for the church) and singing at her church. She loved camping, gardening and doing the Bible study at the kicking post with her Husband. She will be lovingly remembered by her Husband Jack who she was married to for 25,022 days and her Children Dale Hill, Debbie (Don) Oller, Karen (James) Simmons, and Stacie (Mike) Robinson, Sam Hill and Tony Hill. She will also be fondly remembered by her Grandchildren Chris, Colby, Torey, Logan, Bradley, Heath, Sam, Tony, Amber, Audrey, Heather, Blake, Ryan, Hannah, Raeni and her Sister Linda (Jerry) Combrink. She will also be forever remembered by her numerous Great Grandchildren and extended family and dear friends.
Family members preceding her in death are her Parents Quantrel and Ethel Moran, Brother Daryl Moran, infant Daughter Tereasa Faye Hill, Son Daniel Wayne Hill, and Grandsons Jason Lee Oller and Albert Wayne Hill.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Caddo with Brother Jeff Self and Brother Tommy Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo. Pallbearers will be Colby Oller, Torey Oller, Logan Oller, Bradley Hill, Blake Robinson and Ryan Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Hill, Heath Hill, Sam Hill, Josh Gibby and Mike Tillis.
The funeral home will be open on Monday September 24, 2018 until 4:00 p.m. for visitation. Family and friends visitation will begin Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Church. The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Caddo, Oklahoma.
