Owen F. Gore a dedicated servant of Christ, and resident of Durant, Oklahoma, left this life and joined his Lord and Savior in the next life on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Oscar and Annie Mae (Bleving) Gore on Thursday, November 17, 1932. Owen married Olee Stillwell in Durant in 1980.

Owen dedicated his life to bringing God's Word to others through sharing the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Abundant Life Temple. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950-1954. Owen was born in Oklahoma, then his family moved to California, he then returned to Oklahoma as a young man. He loved being outdoors camping and fishing.

Mr. Gore is survived by his son, Don Day and wife Rena of Mead, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jared Day of Mead, Oklahoma and Kara Alee and husband Undré of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and great-grandchildren, Undrea and Micah Alee of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Mr. Gore was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Annie Mae Gore; wife, Olee Gore; and brother, Guy Gore.

A service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 5 at the Highland Cemetery Chapel with Bro. Leon Haas officiating.
