Lena Frances Gordon, 95, passed away December 30, 2010 at MCSO in Durant. She was born July 24, 1915 to Grady and Winnie (Strother) Copeland in Luella, Texas. Lena graduated from Caddo High School and was a member of the Caddo First Baptist Church. She married Raymond Henry Gordon July, 1941 in Atoka, Oklahoma,

She worked as a nurse for Dr. Roy. L. Cochran, Dr. Colwick & Dr. Robert Moose for many years. She also served as City Clerk of Caddo until she retired. Lena enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, shopping and spending time with her family.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Haskell, Jack and Joe Copeland.

Lena is survived by her daughter Frances Sue Gordon of Caddo, her sister, Bonnie Morris of Caddo, nieces, Susie McIntire and husband Richard of Durant, Janice Wright of Durant, Sandra Clark of Durant and nephew, Ray Morris of Caddo as well as many other nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at the Caddo First Baptist Church in Caddo, Oklahoma at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011. Rev. Charles Lloyd & Rev. Anthony Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery, Caddo, Oklahoma. Family hour will be held from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 2nd at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Greg Morris, Ray Morris, Harold Gordon, Roy O’Hern, Steve Chaffin, Delbert Birdsong & Bill Gordon will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Craig Hall, James Crawford, David Childers, Everett Stanley and Edward Wheat.
