Donald Floyd Gordon a longtime resident of Caddo, Oklahoma and beloved family member went home to be with his Lord and Savior in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the age of 72. He was born in Caddo, Oklahoma to Jack LaFayette and Alice Mae (Wingfield) Gordon on November 19, 1942. Donald married Carolyn Lavern Stanfield in Caddo, Oklahoma on May 23, 1964.

Donald retired from Alcoa Industries in Dension, Texas in 2007 after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing especially when he took the boys along and taught them valuable lessons about life. Donald and Carolyn liked to travel whenever they could sometimes camping along the way. He spent a lot of his time with his beloved dogs, but the thing he valued the most was the time he spent with his family he considered them his greatest blessing.

Mr. Gordon is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn of the home; children, Jacqueline Carol Gordon of Caddo, Oklahoma, Carissa Dawn Andis and husband Bret of Durant, Oklahoma, April Diane Shrum of Sherman, Texas and Trevor Linn Sheff and fiancé' Amber Studey of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cole Blaine Andis and wife Sara of Choctaw, Oklahoma, JD Kelly and fiancé Jessica Sandland of Mead, Oklahoma, Rachael Andis of Durant, Oklahoma, Riley Andis of Durant, Oklahoma and Micha Lyn Kelly of Mead, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter, Maddox Shyann Andis of Choctaw, Oklahoma; brother, Bill Gordon and wife Judy of Caddo, Oklahoma; sisters, Twyla Whitesell of Calera, Oklahoma and Linda Shipman of Caddo, Oklahoma.

Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Alice Gordon; brother, Benny Gordon; brother-in-law, Jerry Whitesell; sister-in-law, Myra Gordon.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:30-7:00 PM Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Caddo with Bro. Jimmy Stegall and Dale Stanfield officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo. Serving as pallbearers will be Trevor Sheff, Cole Blaine Andis, JD Kelly, Chris Gordon, David Gordon, Ray Don Gordan and Bret Andis.
