September 19, 1942 ~ June 22, 2025

Frances Sue Gordon, of Durant, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on September 19, 1942, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to Raymond Henry and Lena Frances (Copeland) Gordon.

A lifelong resident of Oklahoma, Frances was a woman of simple pleasures, dedicating her life to creating a warm and welcoming home so that all who entered felt the comfort and care she so naturally provided. Gardening was a favored activity of hers. She enjoyed tending to her plants and flowers nurturing them like she did her home. Frances was also an avid reader, often found with a book in her hand.

Those left to cherish her memory are her cousins Susie McIntire, Ray Morris, Janice Wright, Sandra Clark, Harold Gordon, Bonnie O'Hern, Yvonne Birdsong, Janice Chaffin, Bill Gordon, Twyla Whitesell, Linda Shipman, and numerous other cousins and family members.

She was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, her devoted parents Raymond and Lena Gordon, and her caring aunts and uncles.

A graveside service to honor Frances's life will be held by her family, at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo.

Services are under the care of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 North 5th Avenue, Durant, Oklahoma 74701. www.holmescoffeymurray.com.
