Frankie Jane (Green) Ellis was born on March 2, 1940 in Lane, Oklahoma Joseph Jefferson Edd and Stella Esther (Mewhinney) Green. Frankie passed from this life on February 12, 2019 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 78.
Jane graduated from Caddo High School and later married Norman “Bud” Ellis on February 17, 1962. A life long Bryan County resident, Jane was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was of the Nazarene faith and a former member of the United States Bowling Congress. The greatest joy in her life was her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed, Thurman, Melton and Bill Green and sisters, Pauline Benefield, Evelyn Millican, Ora Howard and Bonnie Stricklen.
Loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 plus years, Bud Ellis of the home; children, Diana Ellis, Mark Ellis and wife Cindy and Brent Ellis and wife Jami; sister, Cora Capps; brother in law, Virgil Benefield; grandchildren, Brad and Kayla Story, Tara and Brent Langford, Eric and Avi Story, Brianna and Rett Norman, Julie and Dillon Lillibridge and Matthew Ellis; great grandchildren, Lexi and Addalee Jane (April 2019) Story, Landon, Jaiden, Adelynn and Londyn Langford, Ethan and Edward Story, Ellie Norman and Ainslee and Gunner Lillibridge; special friends, Cindy and Doug Mendenhall and Keith Story and friend Stacy and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2019 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Matt Ellis will officiate. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo with Elwood Reding, Matt Ellis, Rett Norman, Brent Langford, Brad Story and Eric Story serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
