Olen E. Chaffin was born December 22, 1933 in Sardis, Oklahoma to Thomas Lee Chaffin & Eula Mae (James) Chaffin. He passed from this life on Thursday, April 29, 2010 in Durant, Oklahoma. Olen married Bonnie K. Tucker on June 27, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He worked for many years as an auto mechanic until he retired as owner and operator of Chaffin Auto Service.
He is survived by: Spouse: Bonnie Chaffin of the home; Daughters: Charlotte Pate & husband Victor of Durant, Oklahoma; Sherri Owens & husband Kenny of Madill, Oklahoma; Sons: Danny Chaffin & wife Johnna of Madill, Oklahoma; Steve Chaffin & wife Jan of Caddo, Oklahoma; Brother: Paul Chaffin & wife Charlotte of Madill, Oklahoma; Sisters: Tommy Crownover & husband Tillman of Grenada, California; Norma Jean Rooney & husband Jim of Seattle, Washington; Brother-In-Law: Bud Wade of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Grandsons: Shawn Pate & wife Lisa of Gainesville, Texas; Jeromy Chaffin & wife Regina of Madill, Oklahoma; Brian Deaver of Jay, Oklahoma; Michael Imgarten of Sacramento, California; Toby Chaffin & wife Missy of Caddo, Oklahoma; Kelby Owens & wife Laurie of Calera, Oklahoma; Kevin Owens & wife Lindsay of Colbert, Oklahoma; Granddaughters: Candy Vaughn of Durant, Oklahoma; Brandi Pate of Durant, Oklahoma; Summer Gammill & husband Adam of Madill, Oklahoma; Chandra Bragg & husband Randall of Caddo, Oklahoma 12 Great Grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death: Father: Lee Chaffin; Mother: Eula Mae Chaffin; Sisters: Joyce Wade, Lois Chaffin, Nancy Chaffin; Twin Brother: Odis Chaffin.
Funeral Arrangements: Family Hour will be 6-8 P.M. Friday, April 30, 2010 at Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 1, 2010, First Church of the Nazarene, Caddo. Rev. Clifford Joines and Rev. Jason Crouch will officiate. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery Caddo, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Grandsons: Shawn Pate, Jeromy Chaffin, Brian Deaver, Toby Chaffin, Kelby Owens, Kevin Owens.
