Sybil Narine Blakney was born on Wednesday, December 6, 1922 in Caney, Oklahoma to Loss and Mary Jenkins, Narine entered into the arms of her Lord on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 18 days.
Narine loved listening to good Christian music, reading her Bible and watching Bro. John Hagge on television. Mrs. Blakney was a babysitter for a lot of children in the Amarillo area and enjoyed taking care of them. However, the thing she most treasured was her family and they will all miss her greatly.
Narine is survived by her son, James Blakney and wife Coleen of Kenefic, Oklahoma; daughters Charlotte Pingel, Amarillo, Texas and Sharon Bennett of Bastrop, Texas; grandchildren, Tanya Lindley of Durant, Oklahoma, Terrie Johnson and husband Mike of Durant, Oklahoma; Tracie Lindley of Durant, Oklahoma; Tammie Lindley of Durant, Oklahoma; Belinda Adare and husband Kevin of Bastrop, Texas; Ken Westerby of Amarillo, Texas; Cody Golf and wife Deanna of Scottsdale, Arizona; James Ray Bennett and wife Nicole of Bastrop, Texas; Phillip Westerby and wife Holly of Spring, Texas; Robert Bennett and wife Lauren of Bastrop, Texas; Bonnie Crawford and husband Cody of Caddo, Oklahoma; Terri Blakney of Caddo, Oklahoma and Sherri Fitzgerald and husband Michael of Atoka, Oklahoma; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loss and Mary Jenkins; daughter, Wanda Lindley; grandsons, James Blakney Jr. and Jackie Lindley, Jr.; brothers, Hubert, Henry and Callie Jenkins; sister, Dolly.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Robinson officiating. Family Hour will be 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandson.
