Pansy Bagby a longtime resident of Caddo, Oklahoma passed from this eartlhly life in Sherman, Texas on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the age of 82 years and 27 days. She was born in Caddo, Oklahoma to William and Minnie (Smallwood) Phillips on Monday, August 6, 1932. Pansy Phillips married the love of her life in Denison, Texas, they celebrated 65 years of marriage in November.
Pansy was a member of the Robinson Baptist Church. She came from a family of 13 children. Pansy was employed by Levi Strauss and retired from J.C. Potter. She enjoyed gardening, being a homemaker and especially taking care of her precious great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bagby is survived by her son, Leroy Bagby of Caddo, Oklahoma; daughter, Shirley Carr and husband Jim of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brian Doyle and wife Kara of Caddo, Oklahoma and Shelby Kampplain of Caddo, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Emalyn and Katelyn Doyle of Caddo, Oklahoma; brother, Dude Phillips of Caddo, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Bagby was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Phillips; husband, Alvin Bagby; siblings, Thelma, Wanda, Beulah, Eula, Dorothy, Lila, Helen, Buster, John, W.E. and Charley.
A Graveside Service in honor of her memory will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo with Rev. Jeremy Parham officiating. The pallbearers will be Alvin Franklin, Lloyd Boehme, Utah Nation, Jake Edwards, Jerrod Stanley and Jerry McMichael.
