Charles E. Alexander of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years and 21 days. He was born to Mines Edwin and Gussie Belle (Miller) Alexander on Thursday February 6, 1941 in Caddo, Oklahoma. Charles married Joyce Lenore Taylor in Santa Anna, California on Friday, June 1, 1962.
Charles lived in Caddo, Oklahoma since 1941. He graduated from Caddo High School in 1959 and went directly into the United States Marine Corp. Charles was of the Baptist faith. Charles worked for the City of Caddo in their maintenance department. He raised chickens and coon dogs.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Joyce Alexander of the home; sons, Anthony "Andy" Alexander and wife Karen of Plano, Texas, Thomas Alexander and wife Linda of Durant, Oklahoma and Douglas Alexander and wife Jennifer of Richland, Missouri; grandsons, Ethan, Blake, Scott, Daniel and Andrew; granddaughters, Taylor, Madison and Jordan; sister, Brenda Jordan and husband Luther "Skip" of Bokchito, Oklahoma.
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, Mines and Gussie Alexander; sister, Margie Wiliby; brother, Grady Alexander.
Family Hour will be 7-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma with Rev. Charles Loyd and Bro. Anthony Williams officiating.
