Wayne Hyten passed from this earth on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 72 years 5 months and 18 days.
He was born in a log house in LaValle, Missouri to Louie C. and Josie (Cole) Hyten on Thursday, July 20, 1939. Wayne married Carol Garner in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, May 27, 1965. Walter proudly served this country in the United States Air Force. He was a Baptist by faith.
Walter spent many years working in the bakery business as a dedicated maintenance man. He enjoyed many things but especially enjoyed traveling in his motor home after he retired, being outside and walking his dogs Blu and Peanut, shopping at the grocery store and picking up his grandchildren at school. But most of all Wayne loved his friends and family.
Mr. Hyten is survived by his wife, Carol Hyten of the home; daughters, Susan Hyten of Mesquite, Texas and Sonia Rogers and husband Danny of Sunnyvale, Texas; son, Paul Bowen of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Randall Davidson, Jr. of Allen, Texas, Ashley Davidson of Mesquite, Texas, Danica Mae Rogers of Sunnyvale, Texas and Dylan Rogers of Sunnyvale, Texas; great-grandson, Mason Jackson Bell of Mesquite, Texas; brothers, Russell Hyten of Peoria, Illinois and James L. Hyten of Waterford, Michigan; sister, Marie Wilkey of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Mr. Hyten was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Josie Hyten; daughter, Carol Hyten Rogers; grandson, Chandler Rogers; brothers, Joe Hyten, Bud Hyten, Tony Hyten; sisters, Ora Burnett and Mary Andrews.
Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Albany Baptist Church in Albany, Oklahoma with Rev. Jackie Robinson officiating. Pallbearers will be Bubba Davidson, Sam Garner, Paul Bowen, Jeff Corbitt, Brandon Minze and Sean Garner.
Interment will follow at Garner Family Cemetery in Albany, Oklahoma.
