Ronald Gene Weatherly (age 66) of Cartwright, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on October 17th, 2022. Ron married Robin Weatherly on December 31, 1981. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 years of service. An active member of Victory Life Church, and servant in his community, he will be deeply missed by many. Ron leaves a rich legacy, of faith in Jesus, laughter, a passion for the mountains of Colorado, and a devoted love for his family. Today he is hearing from his King, "well done, my good and faithful servant."
Ron is preceded in death by his father Gerald Weatherly and brother Gary Weatherly. Beloved husband, father, and "poppy," Ron is survived by Robin and their children, Todd Greenway (son) of Comanche, Oklahoma, married to Kristie, Tosha Ridgeway (daughter) of Denison, Texas, married to Robert, Tanna Bennett (daughter) of Sherman, Texas, married to Tyson, Tori Fuquay (daughter) of Sherman, Texas, married to Kevin, Taylor Weatherly (son) of Mannsville, Oklahoma, Trey Weatherly (son) of Durant, Oklahoma married to Emily, Tucker Weatherly (son) of Sherman, Texas, married to Antonette, Ty Weatherly (son) of Colbert, Oklahoma, married to Emily, Tayte Weatherly (daughter) of Allen, Texas, Bob Marks of Colbert, Oklahoma, married to Shelley, Bettie Weatherly (mother) of Cartwright, Oklahoma, Vickie Varney (sister) of Cartwright, Oklahoma married to Sam, Shawn Weatherly (brother) of Denison, Texas, married to Sally, and Greg Weatherly (brother) of Denison, Texas, and 17 grandchildren.
A visitation is set for Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown's Funeral Service in Durant. Funeral services are set for Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM. at Victory Life Church in Sherman, Texas. Burial to follow at Garden of Memory, Colbert, Oklahoma.
