Tennie Jewel Ward 90, of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away Thursday December 17, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. She was born August 20, 1930 in Colbert, Oklahoma to Robert Edgel and Goldie Alma (Eastwood) Weger. Her family and friends called her Jewel.

She met a handsome man named R.D. Ward at a box supper held in the schoolhouse. They fell in love over fried chicken and apple pie and they married on February 15, 1947. They remained married for 68 years and raised 5 Daughters and 2 Sons.

R.D. went before her to his heavenly home on March 18, 2015. Also preceding her in death were her Parents, Brothers James, Adrian & Stanley. Sister Nora Mae Woods. Daughters Connie Gail Moody and Bonnie Sue Luckie.

Surviving are her Children Beverly Gregory and husband Dewey, Mike Ward and wife Sarah, Sabra Adams, Terri Chandler and husband Dan. Robert and a dear friend Steve Smith. Four Sisters Jimmie Lee Haynes and husband Eldon, Edith Woods, Dean Brown, and Libby Hunter and husband Mike and Brother Billy Weger. 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces, Nephews and beloved Cousins.

A Graveside Service for Jewel Ward will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon December 19, 2020 at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert with her Son-in-Law Dewey Gregory officiating with burial to follow. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Gregory, Vance Gregory, Coy Guy Morrison, Tyler Ward, Craig Ward, Lincoln Jones and Ben Jones.
