Cora Shockley of Cartwright, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years. She was born on May 20, 1937 in Line Road, Arkansas to Patrick E. and Elizabeth (Wyatt Shockley .Cora married James B. Shockley, Sr. on May 25, 1985 in Garvett, Arkansas.
Mrs. Shockley was of the Baptist Faith. Cora was a homemaker and loved to cook.
She is survived by: Children:Myra L. Beers & husband David of McConnelsville, Ohio Debra E. Edwards of Durant, Oklahoma. Clyde W. Williams & wife Margaret of Cartwright, Oklahoma. Marshall D. Williams of Cartwright, Oklahoma. James B. Shockley , Jr. & wife Faye of Cartwright,Oklahoma,Van V. Shockley & wife Teresa of Sherman, Texas,William P. Shockley & wife Sandra of Sherman,Texas,Jimmy .B. Shockley of Red Oak, Texas,Clinton D. Shockley of Red Oak, Texas Teresa A. Chadwick & husband of Grand Prairie,Texas,Elizabeth Norman & husband Ray of Grand Prairie, Texas,Three Brothers and Four Sisters,Numerous Grandchildren ,Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild.
Mrs. Shockley was preceded in death by, Parents, Patrick & Elizabeth Shockley; Husband, James B. Shockley; Sister, Patricia Engle.
Family hour will be Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 6-7 p.m. at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Colbert, Oklahoma. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Dan McLemore. Pallbearers for the service, Clyde W. Williams,James B.Shockley Jr.,Van V.Shockley, William P. Shockley,Clinton D. Shockley,John E. Edwards.
