Billie June Reeves departed this life to her Heavenly home Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 87. She entered this life on December 30, 1930 in Platter, OK born to William Fisher and Essie King.
Billie married the love of her life, Hoss Reeves on August 10, 1946, and they began their journey together that lasted 69 years. Hoss preceded her in death in 2016. She worked as a Lab Tech for 23 years at Nabisco. Billie attended Platter First Baptist Church. She spent her time antiquing, gardening, bird watching, cooking, canning, and she loved camping.
She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Hoss (I.F.) Reeves.
Survivors include her sons, Reedy Reeves and wife Kris of Pottsboro, TX and Mark Reeves and wife Lisa of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Melisa Rodden and husband Kevin of Checotah, OK, Zachary Reeves of New York, NY, Taylor Reeves of Oklahoma City, OK, Seth Reeves of Sherman, TX and Emma Reeves of Durant, OK; great grandchildren Brayden, Brock, Braynna, and Brody Rodden; siblings, Jimmie and husband C.R. “Sonny” Reeves , Jackie Newton, Lawanda “Tootsie” Manry, Carolyn Britton and numerous extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services to celebrate Billie’s life will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Platter First Baptist Church with Pastor Don Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories in Colbert with Zachary Reeves, Taylor Reeves, Seth Reeves, Brayden Rodden, Brock Rodden, and Brody Rodden serving as pallbearers. The family will accept friends Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.
