Carolyn Sue (Washer) Patton of Platter, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in Denison, Texas at the age of 79. Carolyn was born on July 15, 1941 in Platter, Oklahoma to Fred and Lorene (Crisp) Washer.
Carolyn attended school at Platter and graduated from Colbert High School. She married Bobby Patton on November 12, 1959 in Denison, TX. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage until Bobby’s passing on April 18, 2011. She worked in the banking industry for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Platter Baptist Church and she enjoyed Texas Rangers baseball and shopping with her sister and nieces. The greatest joy in her life was her family and she treasured her grandchildren and great grandson Reis.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Bobby; daughter Tammie Spears; parents Fred and Lorene Washer and sister Jerrie Reynolds.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters Sherri Carlson and husband John of Knoxville, TN and Sonya Pass and husband Ted of Calera, OK; grandchildren Becca McLemore and husband Kyle of Muskogee, OK, Charlie Geiger and wife Blaklyn of Durant, OK and Justin Ferguson of St. Paul MN; great grandson Reis Geiger of Durant, OK; sister Barbara Sexton of Platter, OK and numerous extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 24, 2021 at Platter Baptist Church. Pastor Jacob Toews will officiate. Interment will follow in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert with Rex Brixey, Nathan Brixey, Jeff Reynolds, Mark Sexton, Mitch Carter and Mike Washer serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 4-6 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
