Colbert, OK- Noah Parker Nelson, a Choctaw tribal member, was born on Wednesday, October 27th, 2004 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Michael and Michelle (Cummins) Nelson. Noah passed from this life on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 in Denison, Texas at the age of 20.
Noah had muscular dystrophy throughout his life but his family will attest that he had a strong will to do what he wanted. Noah was very nosy and ornery as he would listen to phone conversations till a call ended and would ask lots of questions to know what was going on at any given time.
Noah loved his whole family and it was mutual. His mom said he could light up a room with his smile. Though Noah was small in stature, he had such a huge heart and to know him is to love him. Noah loved music and playing his Xbox. He had a great appetite for foods and especially anything spicy. Noah would always chase his food down with his favorite drink a cold, refreshing Dr. Pepper.
Noah will be deeply missed by all his family but knowing they will see him again brings some peace to hearts broken. Noah will not be bound to his wheelchair but he will be running to meet them again in Heaven.
Noah was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Glenda Cummins and Kay Nelson; grandfather, Bucky Cummins; aunt, Regina Cummins; and cousins, Zachary Nelson and Joel Scheideggar.
He leaves behind his parents, Michael and Michelle Nelson; brother, Taylor Nelson and his wife, Melanie and nephew, Asher; a sister, Maggie Neal and her husband, Hayden, and nephew, Warren; grandfather, Bob Nelson; aunt, Raylene Robinson and her husband, Robert; uncles, Kevin Nelson and his wife, Dara, and Bobby Nelson and his wife, Su Zan; and many cousins, extended family and friends.
