March 12, 1932 ~ April 18, 2021

Barbara Jean Morrison left this life and joined her beloved Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday April 18, 2021 at the age of 89 years 1 month and 6 days. She was born in Colbert, Oklahoma on March 12, 1932 to Clarence Elgan Reynolds and Vera Bell (Garner) Reynolds. Barbara married her sweetheart Emmett Lee Morrison in Denison, Texas on December 20, 1952.

Loving words from the family: Mom really devoted her life to three things: Family, church and cooking. She had many roles as a volunteer at church, but her favorites were singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and you could always count on her being ready to sing that soprano line for all of the Christmas songs. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School, with her favorite age being the 2-and-3-year-olds. She said many times that people just don't realize how much those little toddlers can learn, and she was very passionate that there be a class for them. Mom also loved to make sure that people had enough to eat. She cooked every Sunday and wanted all of her family there. The only time she didn't cook is if we let her know in advance that no one was able to come that day. She also cooked the other six days of the week, too. If you ever visited in her home, chances are she made a batch of her famous no-bake cookies. The number of how many batches of those cookies she made is too high to count. She could make cookies, but all her life she wanted to make pies that weren't runny. It wasn’t until she retired that her best friend, Ann Krueger, gave her pie making lessons and she finally learned how to make a coconut cream pie without it being runny. After she mastered that recipe, everyone benefitted with her now having that knowledge. But the biggest joy in her life was her family. She had the ability to make each of them feel so special and loved. If you needed her, she was there, any time of the day or night. She spent many hours in prayer for each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they all felt the effects of her prayers on their lives. Every one of them have a special memory of her and how she loved them well. She truly showed us all how to "Love one another."

Barbara is survived by her Son, Gary Morrison and wife Mary Ann of Calera, Oklahoma; Daughters, Debbie Woodson and husband Dave of Colbert, Oklahoma; Lori Barnett and husband Bruce of Pottsboro, Texas; Brother, Bobby Reynolds and wife Betty of Colbert, Oklahoma, Grandchildren, Stephanie Baugh of Colbert, Oklahoma, Derek Baugh of Sherman, Texas, Kenny Morrison and wife Nicole of Calera, Oklahoma, Callie Masai and husband Aaron of Little Elm, Texas, Brooke Tol and husband Jacob of Colbert, Oklahoma, and Parker Barnett of Pottsboro, Texas; Great-grandchildren, Anthony, Tyler, Makayla, Van, Trevor, Kaylee, Elias, and Eme.
