Charles Wayne Jackson 74, of Colbert, Oklahoma went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at AllianceHealth Hospital in Durant. He was born in Savanna, Oklahoma on October 3, 1946. He lived in Colbert, OK most of his life. He began working at the age 15 and did not retire until he was 73. He was a hard worker and great provider for his family. He married his soulmate and best friend Velma Patrick on March 25, 1967 in Vallejo, California and they celebrated their 53rd anniversary this year.
He is preceded in death by his parents John William Jackson and Lucille Potts, 6 siblings and 2 grandchildren (Tamerla Medler and Ethyn Jackson).
He is survived by his loving wife Velma Jackson; daughter Evon Medler along with spouse Donnye Medler and children Shawna, Tara and Atoria and spouse Chris Adams; son Carl Jackson along with spouse Tina Jackson and children Kayla, Paige and spouse Shelby Haggard, Cheyenne and Tanner; son Wade Jackson along with spouse Diane Jackson and children Tyler Jackson and spouse Missy Jackson and Hunter and spouse Cavan Metcalf; 10 great grandchildren whom he adored; 4 siblings William Eldridge, Helen Young, Jurl Dean Patrick and LeeRoy Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. He touched the lives of many and will forever be loved and missed.
A Graveside Service for Charles will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon December 4, 2020 at the Garden of Memory Cemetery Pavillion in Colbert, OK with Bother Michael Daniels and Chris Adams will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris Adams, Shelby Haggard, Tyler Jackson, Cavan Metcalf, Jeff Weatherford and Jon Wheeler. Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, OK.
