David Hudgins of Calera, Oklahoma passed peacefully on October 17, 2022, at the age of 75 years old. He was born in Denison, Texas on June 12, 1947, to Woodrow Wilson Hudgins and Grace Mae (Todd) Hudgins.
David was in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. David worked for Driggs Liquor Store. Later he worked for the Katy and Union Pacific Railroad in Denison and Fort Worth, Texas. He loved to fish and enjoyed riding around the lake with his son, Tony. David also enjoyed passing the time by reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Tony Hudgins and wife Kim of Calera, Oklahoma and Cody Hudgins and wife Megan of Jackson, Michigan, and his sister Ann Meade of Kemp, Oklahoma. His legacy lives on with his granddaughter Randi Hudgins of Galveston, Texas, and his grandsons Ryan Hudgins of Cartwright, Oklahoma and Teagan Hudgins of Jackson, Michigan.
Preceding him in death are his parents Woodrow and Grace Hudgins, brothers Butch and Charles Hudgins, and sister Lavern McCool.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Garden of Memories in Colbert, Oklahoma.
