Deborah Jean (Grantland) Grant was born on August 30, 1956 in Denison, Texas to John Carter and Ima Jean (Davidson) Grantland. Deborah entered the Gates of Heaven on Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 62.

Deborah married Calvin Grant on December 3, 1974 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Together as one, they began their lives together. Deborah was a loving and dedicated homemaker to her husband and family. She loved her Church and Church Family. She enjoyed her Trans Am, Choctaw and cooking. The greatest joy she had in life were her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, John Carter Grantland, step father, Dan Gallup and mother and father in law, Sarah Davis and James Grant.

Deborah is survived by her loving family, husband Calvin Grant of the home; children, Keith Ozuna, John Grant and wife Kelly, April Garzee and husband Jon and Calvin Grant and wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Brandon Ozuna, Kiana Brown, Jaden Ozuna, John Grant, Jaime Grant, David Grant, Hunter Grant, Jonathan Garzee, Kaylynne Garzee, David Garzee, Zoey Garzee, Kyley Grant and Kodey Wolfgrant; great grandchildren, Paisley, Jolen, Waylon, Breckyn and Aidyn; sisters, Pam Zagel, Liz Sanchez and husband Raymond, Lisa Grantland and Carol Smith; brothers, David Grantland, Johnny Grantland and wife Kym, Sammy Grantland and Johnny Paul Grantland; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Promise Land Church in Sherman, Texas. Bro. Larry Flenniken and Bro. Tommy Sutherland will officiate. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Oklahoma with John Grant, Brnadon Ozuna, Jonathan Garzee, Jon Garzee, Edgar Baker, Marshall Baker, James Laisey and James Davison serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaime Grant and Kiana Brown. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.
