S.B. "Bud" Cordell Jr. 86, of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away Monday March 26, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born July 18, 1931 in Colbert, Oklahoma to Sylvester Byron and Rachel Work Cordell Sr. He attended Colbert schools before moving to Oregon where he was a graduate of Cottage Grove High School. He attended the University of Oregon before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was an 8 year Veteran. He then worked overseas in Pakistan and helped build the Pakistan dam. and then in Thailand where he helped build military bases during the Korean War. He Married Sandra Moir November 9, 1968 in Reno, Nevada and they returned to Colbert in 1970 and became a Rancher and raised Racehorses and was of the Presbyterian faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving is his Wife Sandra Cordell of the home Colbert, OK. Daughter Stacey Thompson and husband Jason of Calera, OK. Son Byron Cordell and wife Vanessa of Durant, OK. Grandchildren Kendall, Carlie, Rachel and Brandon Cordell and Nathan and Sydney Thompson.

A Graveside Service for S.B. "Bud" Cordell will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon March 29, 2018 at the Garden of Memory Cemetery Pavilion in Colbert with Jon Hazell officiating and burial to follow. There will not be a family night and the register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com

Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma.
