August 28, 1979 ~ June 11, 2021

Latrisha Renee Cook 41, of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away Friday June 11, 2021 at her home after a short illness. Trisha was born on August 28, 1979 in Denison, Texas. Her Family moved to Colbert, Oklahoma to a small farm where she loved growing up on the farm and learning to raise many animals alongside her Mother and Step-Father Javier Lopez.

Her first pets were not your typical pets. She loved her pet cows and mean pet goats and she had a huge dog named bear and even a rooster that chased her and all her brothers and sisters to the bus stop. That bus took Trisha & her siblings to Achille High School. Growing up Trisha had many talents. She could look at anything and draw it on paper. Its like she took a picture with her eyes & put it on paper with a pencil. She was also very good at tatooing and it was her dream to become a successful artist.

When Trisha was older around 17 she decided it was her time to explore the world. She would go to Dallas almost every weekend which is where she discovered her love for cumbia music & dancing & Mexican food. After a while she had me her Daughter. My mom had a tough pregnancy, she was even stabbed with me inside her. But Trisha was the toughest & she overcame every obstacle & kept a smile on her face. She was the happiest person in the whole family and even when she was in pain she would still make jokes. After a while Trisha decided to settle down & started to make her home in Colbert next door to where she was raised. She lived with her Husband "Monkey" and her Children Natalya and Enrique. The whole family would come to visit and there would be days filled with nothing but laughter. In these years she picked up her love for garage sales & hittin the town for shopping and always finding good deals. She also enjoyed the casino. She was also well known as the champion of the card game uno. And there is no way you could have known Trisha without seeing her immense love for her dogs. She had a huge love for animals. Sometimes I even felt she thought her shitzu Bailey was her favorite child.

Latrisha is survived by her Daughter Natalya & her Son Enrique & her husband Salvador. Her Sisters Katie, Amy & Tasha. Brother Javier "Bubba" and her 9 Nieces and Nephews. Grandmother Ella Kay Beal & Mother and Father Rogena & Javier Lopez.

I would like to thank everyone who visited my Mother or worked with her. I know she left you with a smile on your face and a good feeling in your heart. May we always remember her giant smile and funny laugh.

Graveside Services for Latrisha Cook will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning June 18, 2021 at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert.
