Joyce Juliene Dawson Clinton

Graveside services will be held for Joyce Juliene Clinton on October 24, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Garden of Memory in Colbert. Raymond Dawson, Dalanna McCray, Royce Dawson, Steve McCray, Steve Dawson, Jeff Dawson, Gary Leon Cinton, Tyler Clinton and Trevor Clinton will be serving as pall bearers. Family night will be held Wednesday, October 23rd 6-8pm at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert.

Joyce was born May 20, 1936 in Mead, OK to Ira Dawson and Stella Mae Dykes Dawson. She passed from this life on October 21, 2019 at Woodlands Place in Denison, TX at the age of 83.

Joyce married R.C. Clinton on May 22, 1953 in Platter, OK. She attended the Country Gospel Church in Colbert, OK. She was a member of the Colbert Eastern Star and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Texoma Medical Center. Joyce loved singing all over Texoma with her sisters, Vetris, Athena (Tina), and Wyvette, also know as "The Dawson Sisters".

Joyce is survived by her son, Gary Clinton of Denison; Carla Breaux and husband Ronald of Pearland, TX; Karen Abrial and husband Larry of Lewisville, TX; sister, Wyvette Wiley of Colbert and Dale Dawson and Pam of Colbert, and sister in law Debbie Dawson of Platter; 7 Grandkids, 4 Great Grandkids, three Great, Great Grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, RC Clinton; parents Ira and Stella Mae Dawson; daughter, Marie "Cissy" Clinton, brothers; Joe , Darrell, and Gale Dawson, Sisters Vetris Metcalf, Athena "Tina" Clinton, Brother-in-Laws; Clinton Metcalf, Arthur Clinton, Bill Wiley and Sister-in-Law, Peggy Dawson. The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneral homes.com
