Debra Lee Chester was born on December 6, 1959, to Barbara & Kenneth Chester in Odessa, Tx. She passed away on September 10, 2022. The family moved to Cartwright, OK, after her brother Kenny was born. She attended school in Colbert, Oklahoma. She graduated from Colbert High in 1978. After that, she attended Grayson County College.
She worked at Texoma Medical Center for a while, then went to work for Dr. Ronald Gleason as his Administrative Manager. She worked many years there and cultivated many long-time friendships. Patients were friends to her. Many friends were like her family in great & sorrowful times. She was grateful still to have many of these people l in her life.
She married and gave birth to her only child Kenneth Wayne Chester in January 1985. She worshipped her son, and they had a very close bond until he passed away in May 2016.
Debra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Barbara and Kenneth Chester, special aunt Ruby, and paternal grandparents, Hubert & Liz Chester, maternal grandparents Parvin Lee & Helen Scarborough, son Kenny Wayne Chester, and her lifelong best friend and soul sister Tricia Kay Wright, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
In 2006, Deb was blessed with her first granddaughter Kenlee Elizabeth Ann Chester. She & Kenlee bonded and loved each other unconditionally. This baby was Deb’s pride & joy. In 2013, she was blessed with another granddaughter Kendall Chester. Again, Deb was thrilled to have another precious girl to dote on and bond. She was also blessed with two bonus grandsons, Jason & Alex, who she loved very much. Her daughter-in-law Clara Chester. Her brother Kenny Chester, his wife Connie Jo, and their daughter Alayna Chester. She also had two special nephews, Jordan & Caden Chester, and nieces Britton &Ashlin Chester, and 2 Great nieces, Swanky and Rowan Chester. Also, her dear friend and loving caretaker, Ramona.
Funeral service for Debra will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2022, at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, Interment will be held in Garden of Memory in Colbert, Oklahoma. Family and friends will gather to visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
