Clyde Ethered Bigbie was born on July 8, 1927 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Esslie Anderson and Ettie Ollie McFarlan Bigbie and passed from this life on December 14, 2017 in Colbert, Oklahoma at the age of 90.
Clyde proudly served his country in the United States Army and Air Force during WWII from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1948. He later married the love of his life, Wanda Brown on July 19, 1948 in Estilene, Texas and they have been blessed with 69 years together. To this union was born there precious daughter, Shirley Ann in 1950. Clyde was a carpenter by trade. Clyde and Wanda moved to Bryan County in 1996 from Ringgold, Texas. He enjoyed woodworking but most of all he loved and treasured his family.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shirley Ann Hicks and brothers, Herman, Clarence and Gail Bigbie.
Clyde is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Wanda Bigbie of the home; son in law, Truey Hicks; granddaughter, Amy Andrews and husband Chad; grandson, Duane Hicks and wife Mellisa; great grandchildren, Chace Andrews, Tara Pillans, Jacob Andrews, Dylan Hicks and Josie Richard and 4 great greatgrandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, OK with Jerry Turner officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
