Pauline Russell passed away in Durant, Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the age of 92 years 11 months and 17 days. She was born in Brown, Oklahoma on December 27, 1918 to James Ray and Ethel (Maupin) Armstrong. Pauline was a faithful member of the Mead Baptist Church. She took care of her family and dedicated herself to her lifetime role as a homemaker. Pauline enjoyed being outside and spent many happy hours working in her yard gardening and growing flowers. She also enjoyed the peace of quiet of fishing and went whenever she could find the time.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her sons, James Tadlock of Mead, Oklahoma, Harold Tadlock and wife Johnnie of Mabank, Texas, Arlen Tadlock of Hurst, Texas, Joe Tadlock of Mabank, Texas, Jimmy Russell and wife Patty of Grand Praire, Texas; daughter, Nancy Lee Rich and husband Jabo of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Emmajean Armstrong of Wright City, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents, James Ray and Ethel Armstrong; first husband, Noble Tadlock; second husband, James Russell; son, Charles Noble Tadlock; daughter, Jerri Ethel Hughes.
Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Holmes~Coffey~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Mead Baptist Church in Mead, Oklahoma with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating. Interment will follow at Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Rex Bennett, Stacy Bennett, Johnny Rowland, Kyle Layton, Jeff Rowland and Wayne McFathridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Rich, Charles Lee Tadlock, Michael McFathridge, Scott Russell, Justin Tadlock and Clint Clark.
