Eddie Ray Phillips a beloved son, and brother, left this life too soon in Durant, Oklahoma on January 24, 2018 at the age of 47 years 5 months and 24 days. Eddie was born in Durant, Oklahoma on July 31, 1970 to Eddie Mac and Marilyn Sue (Laymon) Phillips.
Eddie was a member of the Big Cheek Chapel. He had a passion for fishing, rods and reels, and the quiet solitude of just throwing his line in the water. Eddie also enjoyed 4-wheeling, archery, target shooting, and a good game of golf. He was dearly loved by his family and they will always remember the good times they had together.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his parents, Eddie Mac and Sue Phillips; sister, Melissa McIntire and husband Jerry of Calera, Oklahoma; and nephew, Kyler Senter.
Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Carl Phillips and Twanna and Warren Laymon
.Family hour will be from 6-7:00 PM on Sunday January 28th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will be at 2:00 PM Monday January 29th at the 1st Baptist Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma with Phillip Rowland and Preston Burns officiating. Burial will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Jimmy Dill, Ryan Dill, Steve Jesse, Mark Bolin, Cody Bolin, and Bradley Houston.
