Eddie Mac Phillips was born on October 26, 1946 to Carl Robert and Jessie Irene (Scott) Phillips in Durant, Oklahoma. He passed peacefully away in his home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
On June 30, 1966, Eddie married the love of his life Marilyn Sue Laymon in Durant, Oklahoma. Eddie was a truck driver and was proud of his award for "Four Million Miles Accident Free". He was also a farmer/rancher. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Eddie was creative and enjoyed woodworking and building things at home.
Those surviving Eddie are his loving wife of almost 57 years, Sue Phillips of Durant, Oklahoma, his daughter Melissa McIntire and husband Jerry of Durant, Oklahoma, his sister Jan Dill and husband Jimmy of Poteau, Oklahoma, and sister-in-law Pat Laymon and brother-in-law Rick Laymon of Bennington, Oklahoma, as well as his grandson Kyler Senter of Kingston, Oklahoma.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, parents Carl and Jessie Phillips, and his son Eddie Ray Phillips.
The family will receive condolences at his Family Hour on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. His funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Bokchito First Baptist Church with Brother Bryce Thralls officiating. Eddie will be laid to rest at Bokchito Cemetery following his funeral service.
Those serving as pallbearers are Bobby Phillips, Dean Phillips, Royce Allen, Marion Terrell, William Hughes, and Mitch Reynolds.
