Karen Denise Owen entered this life on May 19, 1965 in Tulsa, OK, born to Arlen and Bertha (Strider) Miller. Karen went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 02, 2018 in Denison, TX at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 13 days.
Karen attended Middle and High School in Oklahoma City, OK. She was of the Baptist faith and worshiped at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, OK. Karen was a member of the Eager Home and Community Education Group. She enjoyed Shopping and reading, but most of all spending time with her family especially her two boys and grandkids. Karen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death is her mother, Bertha Katherine “Kay” Miller, and son, Julian Leeman Owen.
Karen is survived by her sons, Zachery Owen of Oklahoma City, OK, Caleb Owen of Durant, OK; father, Arlen “Lee” Miller of Durant, OK; aunt, Arleta Curtis of Durant, OK; sisters, Kellie Schuster and husband Robert of Oklahoma City, OK, Sabrina Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, and 6 grandchildren, along with numerous other family, friends and loved ones.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, May 07, 2018 at Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, OK with Pastor Darel Bunch officiating. Pallbearers will be Caleb Owen, Zack Owen, Brandon Johnson, Jay Johnson, Robert Schuster and Kenneth Curtis. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 06, 2018 in the Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM for Family Hour.
