Mary Ellen Morris, a beloved mother and grandmother, left this life on Thursday April 6, 2017 at the age of 81 years 1 month and 3 days. She was born in Ft. Towson, Oklahoma to Jabe and Annie Easter (Taylor) Bunch.
Mary loved caring for her family. She showed her love in many ways, but she always cooked delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. She could also be found outside in her garden.
Mary is survived by her cherished children, James West and wife Karla, Jerry West and wife Sheila, Gary West and wife Brenda, Ronnie West and wife Sherry, Shirley Barnes, and Mary Ann Kelsey and husband Morris, all of Durant, Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Acie Bunch; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jabe and Annie Bunch; husbands, James West and Damie Morris; son, Ricky West; sisters, Oretha Faye Thompson, Lillie Cameron, Cathrine Cameron, Nettie Sampson, Ethel Mitchell and Freda Bruen; brother, JB Bunch; and grandchildren, Christopher West and Austin Barnes.
Family hour will be from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM Monday, April 10th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A chapel service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 11th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Chaplin Carl Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma. The pallbearers will be beloved grandsons, Joseph Kelsay, Edward Barnes, Calvin Howe, Steven Howe, Ronnie Bledsoe, Kevin Howe, Devin Howe and Dustin West.
