Calvin McPherson, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma, and beloved father and grandfather, passed from this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Saturday April 22, 2017 at the age of 58 years 5 months and 24 days. He was born on October 29, 1958 to Bailey and Willie Mae (Newell) McPherson in Durant, Oklahoma.
Calvin was a member of the Calera Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Mac's Gun Smith Shop in Calera, Oklahoma for five years. When Calvin was a younger man he worked as a carpenter, and drove a delivery truck. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. McPherson is survived by his son, Chad Rochelle and wife Brooke of Harrah, Oklahoma; sister, Laura Collins of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Adeline and Wyatt of Harrah, Oklahoma; nephews, Gene West, Keith West and Michael Miller.
Mr. McPherson was preceded in death by his parents, Bailey and Willie Mae McPherson; and brother, Larry West.
A service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday April 28, 2017 at the Holmes~Coffey~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant Oklahoma with Bro. Jacob Toews officiating. Interment will follow at Bokchito Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Rochelle, Chad Rochelle, Larry Neal, Michael Miller and Sonny Hendrix.
