Bokchito, OK- Inez (Seaton) McKinnon was born Friday, July 4th, 1924 in Marietta, Oklahoma to Samuel Ulysses Seaton and Sylvia (Hull) Seaton. She passed from this life and entered into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 in Plano, Texas at the age of 98.
Inez married Howard Wesley McKinnon on February 21st, 1946. She was a devoted wife and a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family and was an excellent cook. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Bokchito Church of Christ.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents; and two daughters, Deanna (Larry) May and Jannie McKinnon.
She is survived by her loving family: a daughter, Gleny Beach and her husband, Chuck, of Bokchito, OK; son, Jim McKinnon of Russell, KS; three grandchildren, Traci Beach of Whitesboro, TX, Amy Jenkins & Alan McIntyre of Oak Harbor, WA, and Jude May of Salina, KS; six great grandchildren, Bethany (Micheal) Seiley of Chesapeake Bay, VA, Shaune (Brandon) Woodward of Norfolk, VA, Dillon (Ashley) Caldwell of Silsbee, TX, Tyler Jenkins of Hills AFB, UT, Harrison Jenkins of Anchorage, AK, and Haley Jenkins of Oak Harbor, WA; two great-great grandchildren, Rowan Seiley and Slade Seiley; and other extended family members, church family and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 7th, from 6-8 PM at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8th, at 10:00 AM at the Bokchito Church of Christ with Mr. John Frank officiating. Mrs. McKinnon will be laid to rest next to her husband, Howard, at the Bokchito Cemetery with Dillon Caldwell, Alan McIntyre, Chad Morris, Harrison Jenkins, Micheal Seiley and Tyler Jenkins serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be Ronnie Powell.
