Corene B. Ingram 89, of Bokchito was born Thursday, June 12, 1919, in Yarnaby , Okla., to Sanford Marion and Mittie Frances (Hartless) Bishop. She passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, in Bokchito, Okla., at the age of 89 years.
Corene spent all of her life in Bryan County. She loved going to the feed store, spoke to everyone there and enjoyed meeting people. Corene never met a stranger.
Corene was a member of the Assembly of God. Her hobbies included cooking, laughing, singing and canning anything.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eula Trimm and Vera Gallagher; brothers, Henry Bishop and Ernest Bishop.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin, of Bokchito; daughter, Penny McCann and husband A. J., of Bokchito; sons, Marvin Ingram and wife Darla, Mickey Ingram and wife Linda, Mark Ingram and wife Janet, Billy Ingram and wife Pat, all of Bokchito; brother, Curtis Bishop, of Bokchito; Brother, Billy Bishop and wife Kitty of Lake Texoma; and Sister, Ruth Hambey of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral Service for Corene will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at the Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito.
Rev. Scott Melton will officiate. Interment will be at Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito.
Family visitation will be Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, from 6-7 p.m. at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home in Durant.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Brent McCann, Tommy Elliott, George Elliott, Andy Ingram, Marion Lee Ingram and Rocky Spicer.
