April 12, 1938 ~ May 21, 2021

Reverend Charley Marvin Henson entered his Heavenly Home on May 21, 2021 at the age of 83 years. He was born on April 12, 1938 in Bennington, OK to Robert and Mary Henson.

Charley served in the United States Army, but his greatest service was serving God for 61 years and preaching The Gospel for 56 of those years. During that time, he built two churches, and pastored several in different states, with his current passion being the First Pentecostal Church of Bokchito, Oklahoma where he served as pastor for 22 years until his retirement.

After God came his family whom he loved very much. He loved others as Christ commands and never met a stranger. With a willing and cheerful heart, he gave his time, advice, and money to those in need. His favorite past times include hunting, fishing, gardening, and spoiling his grandkids.

Survivors include: The love of his life Rosa L. Bell Henson of 61 years; Son Tim and wife Sherry Henson; Granddaughter Krista Henson; Granddaughter MaKayla and husband Cameron Roberts; Adopted Granddaughter Gayla Adcock all of Durant, OK. Sister Annie Henson of Wilburton, Oklahoma along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Charley is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Titus Wayne Henson, 8 brothers, 2 sisters, and granddaughter Latisha Renee’ Henson.

If Charley had any departing words for us today, it would be to make sure your heart is right with God. Do not grieve for me, for I am now in His presence. You will see me again someday!

A funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday May 25th, 2021 at the First Pentecostal Church in Bokchito, OK with David McKenny officiating. His final earthly resting place will be the Bokchito Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, OK www.holmescoffeymurray.com
