Freda WaNell Gwyn a resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior in Durant, Oklahoma on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the age of 80 years and 30 days. She was born to James Garfield and Louise (Harbor) Bell on Friday, April 20, 1934. Nell Bell married Richard Gwyn in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, August 20, 1955.
Nell graduated from the Bokchito High School and then went to Dallas, Texas to work. She met and married Richard Gwyn. Nell worked as an accountant for the Firestone Corporation til they moved out of state and then she was employeed by Kodak til she retired. She moved back to Bokchito, Oklahoma in 2003 after the death of her dear husband to be close to her niece Sue who lovingly cared for her. Nell enjoyed working in her yard mulching all the plants and trees and loved to visit with anyone who dropped in. She took in stray dogs and cats and would feed any animal that came up to her home. Nell was a sweet caring person who always had a kind word for others.
Mrs. Gwyn is survived by her brother, Billy Bell and wife Carolyn of Grand Prairie, Texas; sister, Betty Landrum of Mineola, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gwyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gwyn; brother, Harold Bell; sister, Twanna Laymon.
A Graveside Service to honor her memory will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Bokchito Cemetery.
