Letha (Minyard) Goad left this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday, July 1, 2016. She was born to Will and Ida (Barley) Minyard southeast of Bennington, Oklahoma on July 9, 1922. Letha married Park Goad on December 22, 1940. They were together for 69 years 1 month and 8 days before he preceded her in death on January 30, 2010.

Letha loved to work in her garden and prepare delicious meals for those she loved. Letha worked alongside her husband, Park, on their family farm. She had many good friends she cherished, and she always looked forward to their visits and telephone conversations.

Mrs. Goad is survived by her grandson, Daray Schuessler and his wife, Lisa, and great granddaughters Chelsey and Ryan, and great grandson Cameron; other grandchildren, Kolinda Moffatt and her family, and Karl Schuessler and his family; special friend, Wendy Pierce who was like a daughter, her family and her mother Paula; other friends, Rosemary Riddle and Little Bo, Francis Kapchinsky, Andy and Michelle Parsons and Odessa St. John along with many more friends.

Mrs. Goad was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Park Goad; daughter, Sue Goad Schuessler; parents, Will and Ida Minyard; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Family night will be from 7:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 5th, at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A service in honor of her memory will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 6th, at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating, burial to follow at the Bokchito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shawn Pierce, Kevin Davis, Andy Parsons, Jimmy Grube, Mike Andrews and Clent Horner. Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Riddle and Donnie Sherefield.
