Ethel M. Gaither a resident of Coleman, Oklahoma passed from this life in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the age of 67. She was born on Monday, February 9, 1948 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Robert L. and Nellie Marie (Bowman) Anderson. Ethel was married to Kenneth Gaither.
Ethel was in the nursing field for 20 years in Oklahoma and Texas. She enjoyed ceramics and reading, but the thing she enjoyed the most was just being with her family.
Memorials may be made in Ethel's name to the Gaither Transplant Fund contact Rae Dawn Peare.
Mrs. Gaither is survived by her children, Rae Dawn and Garrin Allen of Durant, Oklahoma, Robert Gaither and wife Nikki of Rexford, Montana, Shawnda McGinnins and husband Rickie of Durant, Oklahoma and Leeroy Gaither and wife Kristy of Coleman, Oklahoma; mother, Nellie Marie Anderson of Durant, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gaither was preceded in death by her father, Robert Anderson; husband, Kenneth Gaither; sister, Debbie West; brother, C.J. Anderson; and granddaughter, Beverly Taylor.
Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Bokchito Cemetery with Bro. Earl White officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Pearce, Junior Fults, David Wilson, Gene West, Taylor Arterberry and Mark Mewszel. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Williamson, Rusel Smith and Jessie Gaither.
