Janie Marie Fults, 63, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 in Midwest City, Okla.
Janie was born in Bennington, Ok, on February 11, 1951 to Bronie and Evelyn Odessa (McCulley) Fults.
Janie graduated from Bokchito High School in 1969. She then attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1973. She began her teaching career in Antlers, Ok. She later taught at Nashoba and Clayton, Ok where she retired in 2002. She completed her Masters Degree in Education in Clayton, Ok. She finished her teaching career by volunteering at the school in Haywood, Ok. Janie not only touched the lives of the children who attended her classes, but over the years raised many foster children. She later adopted three children, in order, to fulfill her lifelong dream of having her own family. Her lifelong goal was to always enrich the lives of people she came in touch with.
She was a long time member of the People’s Holiness Church. She served the Lord where ever she lived.
Janie is survived by her daughter, Lora Fults, son, Charles Fults, and daughter, Rhonda Fults all of Antlers, Ok.; sisters, Betty Mitchell of Rockford, Ill, Linda Blanchard of Phoenix, Az; brother, Larry Fults of Winfield, Tenn., heart sister, Portia Wickware of McAllister, Ok, and three grandchildren, Marilee, Dusty, and Nevaeh.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward Fults.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, June 24th, at the Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito with the Reverend Scott Melton officiating. Internment will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Jason Fults, Jimmy Fults, Logan Fults, Mike Blanchard, Jim Groshans and Chris Wickware.
There will be a family hour Monday, 6/23, from 7-8 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
