Ione Dyer, a resident of Van Alystyne, Texas, left this life and joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born in Tupelo, Oklahoma to John Harvenger and Lila Eva (Kennedy) Jones on April 25, 1927. Ione married her beloved Lendell in Sherman, Texas on July 10, 1946.
Ione was employed by SE Electric Co-Op as a clerk/cashier for 15 years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Dyer is survived by her son, Gary Dyer and wife Lanette of Van Alstyne, Texas; grandson, Ethan Dyer of Frisco, Texas; sisters, Jaunice Sullivan of Allen, Texas, and Anna Ruth Stetenpohl of Allen, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dyer is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lila Jones; and beloved husband, Lendell Dyer.
Family hour will be from 7-8:00 PM Friday April 20th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday April 21st at the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Darel Bunch officiating. Burial will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma.
